Key Takeaways

  • Slack is where your team collaborates and communicates.

  • Revo + Slack enables you to interact instantly with your AI product collaborator inside your team’s existing conversations.

  • Revo helps you turn everyday Slack discussions into structured actions, tickets, documents, and insights — keeping everyone aligned and moving faster.

What You Can Do with Revo in Slack

  • Create tickets, tasks, and insights directly from Slack discussions.

  • Summarize complex conversations into clear action items.

  • Ask Revo for project updates, user feedback insights, or brainstorms.

  • Set up Slack notifications for key Revo activities like new feedback captured or tasks completed.

  • Stay aligned without needing to jump across tools.

  • Turn important conversations into structured, documented product artifacts — such as PRDs (Product Requirement Documents), feature specs, meeting notes, or decision records — ensuring no critical information is lost.

How to connect:

  1. Click on your team name at the top of the left-hand side menu

  2. Select team settings in the dropdown menu

  3. Go to connectors, located in the left sidebar

  4. Go to the Slack card and click on the connect button and follow the on-screen instructions

  5. You can choose which channels Revo should be invited to. If you want to add Revo to a channel later, just mention @revo and accept the invitation prompt

  6. You can now go back to Slack and simply @revo and start chatting

If you have connected Slack already to Revo, but haven't invited Revo to a particular channel yet, you can invite it by simply mentioning @Revo, pressing enter, and accepting the invitation prompt.

  • Revo cannot retrieve conversations from Slack that occurred before the integration was set up

  • Revo can only access channels it has been explicitly invited to. It won't join private channels unless it is manually invited, and it cannot be added to direct messages.

  • For security purposes, Revo only sees messages from the time it joins a channel and only in channels it’s authorized to access.

  • Your Slack workspace remains under your full control at all times.

How to disconnect:

  1. Click on your team name at the top of the left-hand side menu

  2. Select team settings in the dropdown menu

  3. Go to connectors, located in the left sidebar

  4. Go to the Slack card and click on the disconnect button and follow the on-screen instructions

Best Practices for Using Revo in Slack

1. Invite Revo to the Right Channels: Start with product, support, customer feedback, and engineering channels for maximum impact.

2. Use Clear Mentions: Mention @Revo with clear instructions like "summarize this discussion" or "create a task: Update onboarding flow."

3. Be Action-Oriented: Frame your prompts with an action in mind — to generate tasks, insights, summaries, or documents.

4. Monitor Channel Changes: If you add new private channels later, simply mention @Revo to invite it.

5. Use Summaries Before Meetings: Before team standups or product reviews, ask Revo to summarize recent discussions to save time.

6. Troubleshoot Quickly: If Revo isn’t responding, check that it has been invited to the channel and that Slack authorization is still active.
